how do you view these as i would like to see a pattern of carpet my granparents bought in the 1960’s
Hi Ryan,
The designs are not currently available for viewing as we’re busy cataloguing them. In the autumn you’ll be able to access them through University of Glasgow Archive Services: http://www.glasgow.ac.uk/archives. Please do be aware though that we don’t have every design produced, and not everything we have will be available to view online.
Do get in touch with us in the autumn.
Best, Clare
I would like to know if you have designs by Anne Malcolm, an elderly friend who has sadly died. She worked for Stoddarts in 1955 and I understand that her designs are still being used.
Hi Val,
I am afraid that our catalogue does not highlight Anne Malcolm as a designer of any of the designs we have. That does not mean that we definitively do not hold any of her designs, simply that none of the designs we have are marked with her name.
There’s more information about the collection on our website: http://www.gla.ac.uk/services/archives/collections/business/features/stoddard/. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any further queries: http://www.gla.ac.uk/services/archives/contact/
